King of the Golden Hall: November 29th

An evening of sharing creative works, whether written, musical, artistic, or otherwise. This fall’s event will take place in the Heritage Lounge of Athabasca Hall from 6-10 pm.

FURCA Panel: Questions for Middle Earth: November 15th

The Last Alliance members will host a discussion panel on The Hobbit in association with the Festival of Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities. We will be meeting in Telus Centre 217/219 from 6pm-8pm.

Lembas Bread Bake Sale: November 8th

One bite is enough to fill the stomach of a grown man, or at least get you through your next class! Our much-anticipated annual lembas bread bake sale will reappear in Tory Atrium from 8 am- 4 pm.

Battle of Helm’s Deep: October 31st

The first part of this evening commences at 5:30 pm with participating in the campus food bank’s Trick or TrEAT campaign. We then reconvene at Athabasca Hall for pumpkin carving and general fun! Costumes highly encouraged!

Fangorn Forest: October 10th

Join us from 7-10 pm in the Heritage Lounge of Athabasca Hall for a night of riddles, games, and challenges, as testing as the depths of Fangorn itself.

Hobbit Hike: September 21st

The Last Alliance’s first annual charity event! Alliance members will take part in a hike and camp over two days and raise funds for Arrow in the Arctic, a philanthropic organisation that raises funds for libraries and schools in Canada’s arctic to promote the language and culture of the Inuit people. Talk to one of our executive members for more details on participation.

Welcome Party: September 13th

Our Welcome party will be held from 3-6 pm in the Heritage Lounge of Athabasca Hall. Join us as we welcome the new year, catch up with one another, and get to know new Alliance members.

Book Study

Book Study will begin on September 9th, in Heritage Lounge, Athabasca Hall and will be held throughout the year on Mondays from 12pm-2pm.
